iGotMunchies originally started life in Newport, South Wales with the aim of providing local students with access to the cities local takeaway and restaurant menus 24 hours a day. After nearly two years of collecting data we thought it would be great to list iGotMunchies' top 10 most popular takeaways in Newport. So here they are:

Wok2go certainly is a new generation of takeaways. It is extremely comforting to walk into a restaurant and witness food that you are about to consume being prepared before your very eyes. Glancing at the menu board, it is clear that there is a lot of choice to be had at this establishment. And with its friendly and polite staff, help is at hand.

Having never been to a takeaway quite like this before, I called upon the staff to help me make my choice. The customer service at Wok2go is excellent. They very patiently explained their various flavours and sauces and suggested dishes that would compliment each other. Needless to say it all sounded delicious.

Usually I am quite picky when it comes to eating takeaways. Always wondering what exactly the sauce is covering! With Wok2go it’s a completely different story. The quality of the food is excellent. It is tasty and fresh and the meat is a good quality. The kitchen is immaculate and there is a range of freshly prepared food in front of you which you can see being added to you dish.

The Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings are divine. Again, good quality meat with just the right amount of spices to give it that kick. A nice bonus is the spicy vegetables which accompany this dish. The portions are generous with six chicken wings per serving.

The Thai Red Curry is fresh and light with good quality chicken. It is not too overpowering and is full of fresh oriental flavours.

The Satay Sauce is exactly as they describe it on the menu – spicy, nutty with creamed coconut. It is not too intrusive and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Wok2go is great value for money. Either share your dish with a friend or resort to eating it for your lunch the next day! One dish goes a long way!
If you have not yet ventured to this part of town then it certainly is worth a trip. Situated on the corner of Caerphilly and Heathwood road with customer parking right outside. Or simply pick up the phone and have them deliver their fresh authentic delights straight to your front door.
